Tomorrow is India's 70th Independence Day. A day pinned in world history as one of the most iconic victories against tyranny. Though I was not born during or have been a part of the independence struggle, I really admire all the effort put in by each and every person directly or indirectly for its happening. I am grateful that I was born in an independent country. Blessings are countless, which the diaspora of the Indian Sub Continent offers.
While chatting with friends we usually encounter terms like:
How would you suggest a better way to function?
In my opinion the nay saying has to stop. As the wonderful saying goes "Charity begins at home", my message to all my fellow Indians on this auspicious day would be:
This way, you too would be a part of the new age independence.

While chatting with friends we usually encounter terms like:
- 'yaha kuch honewala nai hai' (nothing is going to change/happen in India)
- 'politics desh ko kha gaya hai' (politics has gnawed the country to bits)
- 'sab ke sab bikk chuke hai' (everyone, specifically the government is corrupt)
However, today while sitting down peacefully, I wonder:
- 311 Million People in USA
- 65 Million UK
- 144 Million in Russia
- 25 Million in Australia
versus
1.324 Billion in India
In my opinion the nay saying has to stop. As the wonderful saying goes "Charity begins at home", my message to all my fellow Indians on this auspicious day would be:
Do one thing for India that makes a difference towards our nation, atleast in your lifehood.
Vande Mataram
