Recently came across the word Chutzpah (pronounced with 'C' silent, in the movie Haider), which by dictionary means: unmitigated effrontery or impudence.
The lead protagonist explained the same and I couldnt relate to easily at the first go, but after the movie was over, it was crystal clear that we live in a world of Chutzpah.
Its everywhere, like for example:
- The audacious politicians coming in every 5 years and begging for votes and once they win they do nothing
- The movie stars praising movies which dont even make sense or are copied and if it flops, they condemn it
- People breaking up with each other and blaming whom they loved blindly at a point
- Teachers being bullied by students for they being old-school
- Religious heads or self made god men, cheating, raping, stealing, faking and what not
- Society itself is funny, they ask you to be yourself and later judge you on your deeds.
- Criminals especially Terrorists seeking equality/forgiveness at the trial
- The phrase 'Marriages are made in heaven' and all similar lies you have been told to when you grow up
If you can think of a better chutzpah happening around you or with you, let me know.
