Its end of a year since I quit Directi as a Consultant. Yes, I did quit Directi much earlier i.e. May 2012 but then I was offered consultantship and I accepted a part time job with them for almost 10 months which expired on 31st Mar 2013.
But now, thats over and its over for more than a year. I believe there are somethings I learned and would love to share:
- One must not fear or look back at decisions made. You need to stand by any decision that you think helps you.
- If you need to seek help, seek it. Don't be ashamed.
- Remember, while doing things pen them down. When a lot is to be handled, you tend to forget.
- Employee Engagement is important. Disengaged employees are like parasites. They feed on you and also decay the engaged ones.
- Forget about money. It comes it goes. Nonetheless its important, but for an entrepreneur, service to clients is more important
- Product Based businesses have more success than service oriented companies
- Work-Life Balance is a Must
- Digital Marketing and Online Advertising are catching up very fast, soon there shall be devices that make your day to day life simpler. Advertising there shall be the next best thing. This is where money is.
- You need to ask, believe and receive anything you want
- Opportunities keep coming. You need to knock the ones where you are the most comfortable.
